Hi, I’m Steve—cocktail enthusiast, accidental home bartender, and the brains behind Hegenderfer House of Cocktails. My journey into mixology began during COVID, when I was stuck at home with my (very patient) wife and two amazing daughters. With nowhere to go and plenty of time to kill, I did what any sensible person would do: I learned to make really, really good drinks.
What started as a coping mechanism turned into a full-blown passion. I’ve been shaking, stirring, and experimenting ever since—one cocktail at a time. Sure, paying for my kids’ college has slowed my dreams of turning this hobby into a globe-trotting booze empire, but hey, a guy can still mix up some magic on weekends.
I believe craft cocktails should be fun, not intimidating. It’s not rocket science—it’s just good ingredients, good technique, and maybe a little flair. So whether you’re a cocktail newbie or someone who owns more bitters than shirts, I’m glad you’re here.
