Chimayo Cocktail
other · tequila
Next to a Margarita, the tequila is the only shared part — cider does the work here, with cassis standing where the orange liqueur would be. Use unfiltered cider; the clear stuff goes thin and leaves the cassis nothing to hold onto. It makes two, in theory.
Ingredients
- 3 ozTequila — reposado recommended
- 2 ozApple cider — preferably fresh and unfiltered
- ½ ozLemon juice
- ½ ozCreme de cassis — black currant liqueur; unit assumed oz, source did not state a unit
Garnish
2 thin apple wedges
Method
Pour all content into a shaker filled with ice and shake. Then pour shaken drinks into highball glasses filled with ice, splitting the shaker evenly. Garnish each with an apple wedge and serve.
Steve’s notes
Source jokes that splitting the shaker contents evenly between two glasses 'SHOULD' happen ('HAHAHA!! Yeah, right').
