Ingredients: 2 oz rye whiskey; ¾ oz pineapple juice; ¾ oz lemon juice; ¾ oz orgeat; 4–5 dashes bitters; pineapple slice or berries — garnish; Pineapple slice or berries

Next to a Mai Tai, everything holds except the rum, which has gone off and gotten a job in banking. The orgeat is the hinge — cut it back and the rye runs the whole drink unsupervised. Bitters floated on top make the first sip sharper than the fourth.

Ingredients

Where there's a range: the low end is lighter, the high end is fuller.

2 ozrye whiskey
¾ ozpineapple juice
¾ ozlemon juice
¾ ozorgeat
4–5 dashesbitters
—pineapple slice or berries — garnish

Method

Add ingredients to the shaker, with the exception of the bitters, and shake with cracked ice. Pour into glass and top with bitters (although you can shake the drink with the bitters to get a more even taste). Add garnish and enjoy!
