Southern Bloom

Elderflower is what makes the rye behave, softening the spice before the lemon gets to it. It's also sweetening the drink alongside the honey, so don't let the syrup creep past a half ounce or you've made a cordial. Goes down faster than a rye drink should.

Ingredients

• 2 ozRye
• ½ ozElderflower liqueur
• ½ ozLemon juice
• ½ ozHoney simple syrup

Garnish

Lemon wedge

Method

Add all ingredients into shaker, half full of ice. Pour entire contents into highball glass. Serve with a lemon wedge.
