The orange juice is what keeps this from being a Perfect Martini, and an ounce is plenty — more than that and the gin stops showing up. Squeeze it fresh; carton juice tastes cooked and the vermouths have nothing to hide behind. I make these at eleven in the morning and don't explain.

Ingredients

• 2 ozgin
• ¼ ozdry vermouth
• ¼ ozsweet vermouth
• 1 ozfresh orange juice
• 1 dashorange bitters (optional)

Method

Add all ingredients into shaker. Shake. Strain and pour. Enjoy!
