Blue curacao and grenadine fighting each other until the glass settles on a colour that has no business being drinkable. As written it is sweet enough to stand a spoon in, which is precisely why the alternate measurements exist. Rim it with black sugar and nobody asks any further questions.

Ingredients

• 1½ ozTito's Vodka — alternate: 2 oz
• 1 ozBlue Curacao
• 1 ozsweet and sour mix — or just lime juice for less sweetness; can add ~1/2 oz lime juice for tartness
• 1 ozgrenadine — alternate: 1/2 oz
• 1 ozOcean Spray Cranberry Juice — alternate: 1/2 oz

Garnish

Optional black or purple sanding sugar rim

Method

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake until combined, then pour into a glass filled with ice. Optional to add black or purple sanding sugar to the rim (if adding sugar to the rim, this would be Step 1).

This drink tends to be a bit sweet if you follow the stock directions, so you might want to look at the alternate ingredient measurements if you want something not as sweet. For a less-sweet version, use the alternate measurements noted per ingredient (2 oz vodka, ~1/2 oz lime juice in place of sweet and sour, 1/2 oz grenadine, 1/2 oz cranberry juice).
