Bourbon Collins
collins · bourbon
Purists say a Collins takes gin, and they're right, and here we are anyway. Stir the sugar into the lemon before the ice goes in, or you'll meet it undissolved at the bottom later. This is what I make when the lawn isn't going to mow itself.
Ingredients
- 2 ozBourbon
- 1 ozLemon juice
- 1 tspSugar
- —Club soda — to top
Garnish
Orange wheel and maraschino cherry
Method
Add the bourbon, lemon juice and sugar to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake well and strain into a Collins glass filled with fresh ice. Top with club soda and garnish with an orange wheel and a maraschino cherry.
