Ingredients: 2 oz Rye whiskey; ¼ oz Maple syrup; 2 dashes Bitters; 2 Maraschino cherries on a skewer

An Old Fashioned sweetened with maple syrup. Maple is heavier than simple and settles to the bottom, so stir until you're sure and then some, or the first sip is straight rye and the last one is dessert. Use the real stuff — I have tested the alternative.

Method

Combine rye, maple syrup, and bitters in a rocks glass with ice and stir until chilled. Garnish with cherries on a skewer.
