Nocino Manhattan

Name: Nocino Manhattan
Ingredients: 2 oz Bourbon; 1 oz Nocino; ½ oz Vermouth; 1 dash Angostura bitters; 2 maraschino cherries

The vermouth here has been cut back on purpose. Nocino carries its own sweetness along with a walnut bitterness that covers vermouth's other job, so a full ounce of it just muddies the whole thing. I stir this one in late October and stop answering the door.

Ingredients

½ ozVermouth
1 dashAngostura bitters

Garnish

2 maraschino cherries

Method

Add bourbon, nocino, vermouth, and Angostura bitters to a mixing glass filled with ice. Stir until chilled and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with maraschino cherries.
