Steve's Peach Manhattan
Late summer, when the good peaches are gone and you want one anyway. The peach bourbon is standing in for the vermouth, so there's no wine softening anything — it's whiskey holding hands with whiskey, and the bitters are the only adult present. I keep making them into October, which says more about me than the peaches.
Ingredients
- 2 ozBourbon or rye
- 1 ozPeach bourbon — substituted for the vermouth in the Classic recipe
- 2 dashesAngostura bitters
- 1 dashOrange bitters
Garnish
Brandied cherry

Method
Add the whiskey, peach bourbon and both bitters to a mixing glass with ice and stir until well chilled. Strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with a brandied cherry.
