Steve's Old Fashioned PB&J
old-fashioned · bourbon
Peanut butter in bourbon sounds like a dare, and the name isn't helping my case. Keep plain bourbon at twice the PB pour, or even them up if you want the full sandwich — the muddled strawberry is doing the jam work, not the liqueur. Tastes like being eight, which is the appeal and also the problem.
Ingredients
Where there's a range: the low end is lighter, the high end is fuller.
- 1 partPB Bourbon — peanut butter bourbon
- 2 partsBourbon
- ½ partStrawberry liquor
- 4–5 dashesOrange bitters
- —Strawberry — muddled
Method
Muddle fresh strawberry in the bottom of a highball glass to start. Add ice, then mix all ingredients in the glass. Enjoy!

Hint: if you want MORE PB taste, dial up the PB Bourbon and dial back the regular bourbon, or split them evenly (1 1/2 to 1 1/2).
