Campari has no business in a gin sour, except at a half ounce it stops shoving and starts tasting like grapefruit. Press the mint, don't pulverize it — bruised is aromatic, shredded is lawn clippings. It comes out pink and then declines to taste like it.
Ingredients
- 2 ozgin
- ½ ozCampari
- ½ oztriple sec
- ½ ozlemon juice
- —fresh mint sprig — muddled
Garnish
Lemon/orange wedge, twisted rind, or mint
Method
Muddle the mint in the shaker. Add all ingredients and shake with cracked ice. Garnish with a lemon/orange wedge/twisted rind or mint.
