Berry Confused
sour · bourbon
Late summer, when raspberries are cheap and a whiskey sour starts wanting fruit in it. Break the egg white down on its own first, or the puree gives you sediment instead of foam. The powdered sugar berries are a garnish you'll still be finding on the counter tomorrow.
Ingredients
- 2 ozbourbon
- ½ ozsimple syrup
- ½ ozraspberry liqueur
- ½ ozfresh squeezed lemon juice
- ½ ozraspberry puree — or a handful of muddled raspberries
- ½ ozegg white (optional)
Garnish
Powdered sugar covered raspberries
Method
If you are muddling the raspberries, add them to a shaker and muddle. If you are using egg white, add that next. Do a pre-shake/stir to break down the egg white. Then add all ingredients to the shaker and shake. Pour into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with powdered sugar covered raspberries. Enjoy!
