Blood Orange Boulevardier

other · bourbon

Late winter, when blood oranges turn up everywhere for about three weeks and then vanish. Keep the juice at half an ounce and stir it anyway — any more and the Campari stops arguing with the bourbon and starts sulking under fruit punch. The season being short is the only reason I'm not making this in July.
