Pomegranate Martini

Name: Pomegranate Martini
Ingredients: 1 oz Gin (or vodka); ½ oz Cointreau or Orange Curacao; 3 oz pomegranate juice; pomegranate seeds — garnish (optional); pomegranate seeds (optional); or lime, orange, or whatever if desired

Late December, when the house is full and someone wants something red in a stemmed glass. The juice outnumbers the gin three to one, so buy it unsweetened or what you've made is a cordial. The glassware is doing most of the classification work here, and nobody at the party is going to challenge it.

Ingredients

1 ozGin (or vodka)
½ ozCointreau or Orange Curacao
3 ozpomegranate juice
—pomegranate seeds — garnish (optional)

Garnish

pomegranate seeds (optional); or lime, orange, or whatever if desired

Method

Add all of the ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake. Garnish with lime, orange, or whatever if desired.
