This is a margarita with the triple sec swapped out and nothing else changed. Grand Marnier has cognac underneath it, so it sweetens and rounds at once — keep the lime at three quarters and skip the agave, or you've built a dessert. It's how that bottle finally leaves the back of my cabinet.

Ingredients

1 ozGrand Marnier
¾ ozlime juice

Method

Add all ingredients and shake with cracked ice. Add garnish.
