Ingredients: 1½ oz bourbon; 1 oz grapefruit juice; ½ oz maple syrup; 3 strawberries, chopped — muddled; Strawberry

Cloudy sunset pink, and the grapefruit shows up well before the sweetness does. Muddle the strawberries dry before any liquid goes in, or they just bob around looking decorative, and go easy — maple carries further than simple syrup. Structurally speaking, this is breakfast.

Method

Muddle some of the strawberries in the shaker; add all other ingredients. Shake. Strain and pour. Add strawberry for garnish.
